Cuisine American
- 1 package Oreos 400g
- 8 oz. full fat cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 12 oz. semi sweet chocolate or white chocolate coarsely chopped or chips
- Optional: sprinkles Oreo crumbs, extra melted chocolate
Beat the softened cream cheese with the vanilla extract on medium speed in a medium sized bowl.
Using a food processer, place all of the Oreos into it and grind them into a crumb. Place the Oreo crumbs into the bowl with the cream cheese and set aside some extra crumbs for topping if desired.
Mix the Oreo crumbs and cream cheese together well until the mixture is thick. Roll the crumbs into little balls and place on a parchment paper lined sheet and put into the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Prep the chocolate for dipping while the balls are freezing. Melt the chocolate in either a saucepan stirring frequently or the microwave in short bursts making sure not to burn it.
Remove the balls from the freezer and roll each Oreo ball in the melted chocolate. Place back onto the baking sheet. If sprinkling with extra Oreo crumbs or sprinkles, do it here while the chocolate is still wet. Place them back into into the freezer for another 15 minutes or until the chocolate is set. If wanting to drizzle with extra chocolate or white chocolate, you can do I here when the chocolate is hardened.
Keep in the fridge until needed and enjoy!
