Porridge Recipe

This easy porridge recipe is easy to make and is a great breakfast option for busy mornings. Made in under 10 minutes, this breakfast recipe is is hearty and delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 c. porridge oats
  • 2 c. of milk water, or a mixture of both
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions
 

  • Pour the cup of oats into a small pot.
  • Pour the milk or water into the pot with the oats and add a pinch of salt.
  • Place the pot on the hob and turn it on to medium heat.
  • Bring the porridge to a bowl then decrease the heat to low and allow it to simmer.
  • Simmer for 4-5 minutes. Make sure to continually stir if you use milk as the milk can burn very easily.
  • Once the porridge has thickened, remove it from the heat and let it cool before serving.
  • Serve with either maple syrup, brown sugar, fresh fruit, or cinnamon.
